Marketers and customer communications professionals are reimagining the way they will use SMS, particularly as rich messaging and 2-way chats become more prevalent. Interactive buttons, graphics, and video clips will all be integrated within the message. This new generation of messaging will enable customers to make purchases directly through the SMS interface, enhance chats between retailers and customers, and clarify any logistics issues.
This is a major upgrade from yesterday’s text messages where brands couldn’t even trust that their emojis will appear as intended on their customer’s phones. It promises to redefine mobile first marketing and transform the chat channel into a conversion machine.
Ira Cohen, VP Business and Marketing for MMDSmart will take part in a panel discussing the evolution that led to this change, and how evolved digital forward thinking will continue to advance mobile messaging. Together with panelists’ Joanna Kuligowski from Haud and Tiago Martins from LINK Mobility, they will share and debate the direction of rich messaging communications and offer their vision for the future.
